How Is the Procedure Done?

For a better idea of your surgery options, breast augmentations are usually done via 2 methods, both of which are bloodless and require little to no hospitalization. These are:
Breast implants are implants inserted into the breasts to increase their size, shape, & fullness. These can be either round implants, which create a rounder & fuller breast shape,or teardrop implants, for a more subtle & natural look.
- For this procedure, usually a 2.5 - 3cm incision is created either under the breast (inframammary), within the armpit (axillary), or around the areola (periareolar).
- The implant is inserted carefully via the incision behind the breast tissue or beneath the chest muscle, filled with either saline or silicone gel, and then sutured closed.
Fat transfers, or fat grafting, is a procedure that harvests fat from one part of the body to reintroduce it to another. It is usually recommended for those who only want a mild to moderate increase in breast size, or do not want implants.
- For this procedure, fat is harvested from certain parts of the body (usually the abdomen, love handles or thighs) via liposuction.
- The fat is processed for reentry into the body, then injected in multiple layers through a tiny incision beneath the breast.

What Should I Consider Before Choosing
